Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has made one change from the XI that won at Oxford United on Tuesday evening.
Winger Elliott Bennett - who has played plenty of minutes for Rovers this term - is rested but available from the bench if needed, with Peter Whittingham coming into the XI in the only change.
It appears that Whittingham will be joining Corry Evans and Richie Smallwood in a midfield trio, with Mowbray opting with a three-pronged attack in the form of Bradley Dack, Marcus Antonsson and Joe Nuttall - starting his third consecutive league game for Rovers.
Charlie Mulgrew will once again skipper the side, with the Scot appearing for the 50th time in Rovers colours.
For the visitors, their boss Darrell Clarke names three changes to the side that suffered defeat to AFC Wimbledon last time out.
Coming into their team are Ryan Sweeney, Billy Bodin and Joe Partington, replacing Tom Broadbent, Chris Lines and Tom Nichols, who all start on the bench at Ewood Park.
