Rovers remember

The club will pay tribute on Saturday as part of our Remembrance Day commemorations

3 November 2017

Ahead of tomorrow’s game against Barnet, Rovers will pay tribute to fallen servicemen and women as part of our Remembrance Day commemorations.

Representatives of the Royal British Legion will be special guests of the club, as we remember and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving their country in conflict.

As a mark of respect, the two teams will form a guard of honour, wreaths will be laid in the centre circle and a minute’s silence will take place prior to kick-off, during which the Last Post will be played.

The Rovers players will also wear specially embroidered poppy shirts, which will then be signed and auctioned to raise money for charity.
