Rovers manager Tony Mowbray has been impressed by Ryan Nyambe's recent form, saying he's seen an improvement in the youngster.

Nyambe has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season, and was effective at both ends of the pitch during Tuesday's match against Rochdale.

Speaking after the game, Mowbray says the defender has performed well so far in 2017-18, and is still learning with every game.

“Nyambe is a beast of a boy, he’s a fantastic athlete," the boss said.

“There’s still quite a bit to work on with Ryan – his forward passing and seeing attacking runs - but I think that’s improving all the time.

“He was good against Rochdale both with and without the ball, there were a lot of positives there.

“It’s been a stop-start season, but hopefully with the international breaks done until the new year, we can get some consistency."

Rovers return to action on Saturday November 18th with a trip to Bury.
