Rovers have been drawn away to Morecambe in the quarter-finals of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.

The tie will take place at the Globe Arena on Tuesday January 2nd, kick-off 1pm.

Season ticket holders can watch the game for free upon production of their season ticket cards, otherwise general admission prices are £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Rovers’ Under-23s booked their place in the last eight of the competition courtesy of a penalty shoot-out victory over a strong Wigan Athletic side at the County Ground back in September.

Joe Rankin-Costello fired Rovers into a two-goal lead, but two late strikes from Wigan’s Noel Hunt sent the tie to penalties.

Will Grigg and Ryan Colclough both missed from 12 yards for the visitors, before Lewis Travis scored the decisive spot-kick to send Rovers through to the quarter-finals.

Morecambe also needed penalties to progress in the competition, beating Accrington Stanley 5-4 in the shootout after their first round tie had ended 3-3 after 90 minutes.

Quarter-final draw in full:

Fleetwood Town vs Blackpool

Morecambe vs Rovers

Bury vs Preston North End

Oldham Athletic vs AFC Fylde
