Rovers manager Tony Mowbray is expected to name a youthful line-up for Tuesday's Checkatrade Trophy clash against Rochdale.

The boss has described the match as "a really good opportunity" to give minutes to some Under-23s, and could therefore call up several youngsters.

After scoring against both Fleetwood and Barnet last week, and with Saturday's fixture against Walsall postponed, Joe Nuttall may lead the line at the Crown Oil Arena.

Ahead of the game, the Blues are boosted by the return of Dominic Samuel and Richie Smallwood from suspension.

However, Mowbray will be without Charlie Mulgrew and Corry Evans, who are away on international duty.

Having played for MK Dons, Paul Downing is ineligible, while Craig Conway, Harry Chapman and Darragh Lenihan remain sidelined through injury.

As always, we will bring you news of both starting line-ups via our official Twitter account on matchday.
