Over the last three weeks the club have hosted a number of goalkeeping open evenings which have been attended by 60 aspiring goalkeepers

Senior goalkeeping coach Ben Benson was delighted to see those high attendance figures, with the 27-year-old hopeful of seeing youngsters come through to represent Rovers in years to come.
Benson joined Rovers in 2015 and has been a factor in the development of number one David Raya, and he hopes hell see youngsters following in the footsteps of the Spanish stopper in future years.
"It was great to see so many goalkeepers in attendance," Benson said.
"We try and host these events twice a year and we are continually seeing new and old faces which is testament to the importance of the evening itself.
"These evenings we see as a vital part of our goalkeeping coaching provision as it provides players in the local area the opportunity to train like a Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the players and parents for continually supporting these events and would also like to thank the coaching staff for there help with the open evenings."
Future dates and join up details will be announced in the New Year for the second block of open evenings. We look forward to seeing you there.
