We are looking forward to Saturday

16 March 2017

After two lengthy away trips, Rovers are back at Ewood Park with a Lancashire derby against Preston North End at 1pm this Saturday.

Tony Mowbray is relishing the match against the near-neighbours, but knows it will be a tough ask as they embark on a seven match over a packed three-week spell.

The boss has been impressed with the Lilywhites this season, but he is hopeful that Rovers can end this run of games on a high.

"It is a huge game," said Mowbray.

"I have to say that Preston have done fantastically well, they are another team that are eyeing the play-offs.

"They've got some huge physical power in their team, some great athleticism, so it will be a big challenge for us, it will be our seventh game in 22 days.

"We have to go back to the well and try and get a positive result so we can give them a few days off to recover their bodies and rest.

"We are looking forward to Saturday, hopefully we can make life difficult for Preston and get the three points."
