Sam Gallagher, Charlie Mulgrew and Corry Evans are all closing in on a first team return to further bolster the Rovers squad.
All three are now back in full training, but whilst Evans won't be involved in Saturday's match against Preston North End, manager Tony Mowbray believes that if the other two show no reaction to Thursday's session, they'll come into contention for the Ewood Park clash.
"They've all trained today, but they are at different levels of fitness," Mowbray told Rovers PlayerHD.
"Corry is still a bit away I would suggest, he played 45 minutes on Monday and he is going to go away with his country and train and maybe play a bit more football for them.
"The other two trained today, we'll assess them, look at how they wake up tomorrow morning to see if there's any soreness. If not then they should be eligible for selection.
"It is good when you've got choices, and those two have been big players for us in the first four games since I came here.
"Corry is somebody for the future for us that I'm sure will make a big impact when he is fit."
