Boss Tony Mowbray has praised the work ethic of rising Rover Ryan Nyambe.
The young defender has started every match under the stewardship of the new manager with Mowbray impressed by the Namibian.
As well as his lung-busting efforts on the pitch, the boss has been delighted to see Nyambe put in extra work at Brockhall after training.
"Young Nyambe is doing pretty well for us," said Mowbray. "I like his human traits as well as the physical attributes he obviously brings.
"He's a real focussed trier of a kid who wants to get better. He works out there every day after training finishes on his delivery and working with the ball and different aspects of the game.
"I've seen young players like Ryan before with fantastic physical attributes who sometimes think that once they have played a game in the team then they've made it. But I think this kid is made of different stuff, he's out there after training with the coaches asking them to do extra crossing or heading or bits of his game that he needs to work on."
Rovers and Ryan are back in action this Saturday afternoon when they taken on Brighton at the American Express Community Stadium.
