Connor Mahoney is enjoying being part of the first team picture under new boss Tony Mowbray.
The Rovers youngster, who claimed an assist in the 1-1 draw with Cardiff City on Tuesday night, has been involved in each of the four games that Mowbray has taken charge.
Mahoney believes the style of football that the manager wants to play suits his game, having been given the freedom to go out and express himself.
"The new gaffer has come in and implemented a different way of football," Mahoney told Rovers PlayerHD.
"For players like me it gives me time to get on the ball and create, so I'm happy with that.
"We just need to keep going now and keep pushing up the table."
Mahoney has yet to start a match for the new manager, but he knows that if he continues to impress then he'll give Mowbray a nice selection headache.
"I need to come on and give the gaffer the thought that I should be starting for this team," he added.
"So that is what I try to do when I come on, to play with freedom and try and create.
"I'm loving it at the minute, I'm playing with a big smile on my face, I just try to go past my man every time and create, so I'm loving it."
Mahoney and Rovers are back in action this Saturday when they take on Norwich City.
Tickets for the match at Carrow Road are currently on open sale, priced at £25 Adults, £15 Seniors 65+, £10 Under 18, £5 Under 12 £5.
