Tony Mowbray is delighted with the competition that he has amongst the strikers at the club.
With Lucas Joao showing fine goalscoring form with three goals in his last two appearances, the manager admits he has somewhat of a good selection headache going into this Saturday's 1pm clash with Preston North End.
Mowbray has been impressed with the impact Joao has made and admits there isn't much more that the on-loan forward could have done to earn a place in the starting line-up.
"I have to say that if I was Lucas I'd be saying that there is not much more that I could do," the head coach told Rovers PlayerHD.
"He came off the bench and scored two goals at Norwich this week, and then to come off the bench and score again at Fulham, what more do you want the boy to do?
"He's just got competition, and the competition is Danny Graham, Sam Gallagher and Marvin Emnes, so we'll wait and see, but if he keeps scoring goals then he will play.
"That is their jobs, strikers have to score, creative players have to create and score goals, and Lucas has done fantastically well this week for us, but he has to be patient and wait until that time. Can he do what he has done from the substitute's bench, can he do it from the start if he gets selected."
