Lucas Joao hopes Saturday's brace is just the start of things to come him and Rovers between now and the end of the season.

The on-loan Sheffield Wednesday forward grabbed his first goals in the blue and white of Blackburn Rovers in the weekend draw with Norwich City.

Whilst pleased to get amongst the goals, Joao was disappointed that it didn't result in all three points as Rovers were caught by a late equaliser at Carrow Road.

"I'm so happy and proud, I've worked hard to get the goals and today I have the luck to score two goals so I'm so happy," the striker told Rovers Player HD.

"It is my job, a striker needs to score and the more you score it helps the confidence. I hope to score more and more to help the team.

"But there is a little bit of frustration because they play with ten players and we had eleven, but that is football, we needed to defend better because were 2-1 up, we have to do better in the next game.

"But to be unbeaten is important for us, it gives us more confidence for the next game, everybody knows Blackburn shouldn't be in this position so we will do our best.

"The players are confident, every day we work hard to achieve good results for the club."

Rovers and Joao are back in action this Tuesday night when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Tickets for the match are on open sale priced at £20 for Adults, £15 for Seniors 65+ and 18-21 year-olds, £10 for fans aged 17 and under.
