Derrick Williams was delighted to grab his first goal for the club to ensure Rovers earned a share of the points against Cardiff City on Tuesday night.
Despite dominating the match for long spells at Ewood Park, it took a 90th minute equaliser from the Rovers defender to ensure the side's current unbeaten run stretched to four games.
The Irishman was happy to get off the mark, but disappointed that they didn't win the game with the number of chances created.
"I had a couple of chances before that and I wanted to make up for their goal really as I gave the ball away far up the pitch. So I'm pleased to get the goal.
"The gaffer had told me to get in the box when I can, he gave me that freedom, and when Connor gets it you know he is going to put it into the box, it hit my quad and I made sure I got it in there.
"I'm happy to get off the mark with Blackburn and hopefully I can get a few more before the end of the season.
"It was a big point in the end but I thought we should have won that game. We really pressed them well, kept the ball and had a lot of chances as well."
Rovers and Williams are back in action this Saturday when they take on Norwich City.
