Despite back-to-back wins and clean sheets, and seven points from a possible nine, Tony Mowbray knows there is still plenty of work to be done to ensure Championship survival.
Saturday's 1-0 victory over Wigan Athletic saw Rovers move out of the bottom three for the first time in 2017, but the boss insists that their task is far from over.
"It is good for the confidence as it isn't nice to see yourself in the bottom three," Mowbray told Radio Rovers.
"But it is just about looking at the next game really and we just have to accrue points.
"If we win enough games then we won't be in the bottom three. If we lose football matches we'll drop back in there.
"As I've said before, we will lose some football matches between now and the end of the season, but it is about getting as many three points as we can."
Rovers are back in action for the third time in succession at Ewood Park this Tuesday night when they take on Cardiff City, with Mowbray looking for another big push for points.
"It is a big ask after the huge effort that they have put in, against a very strong and powerful Cardiff team," he added.
"We can give it our best on Tuesday night to go and make it three in a row."
Tickets for Tuesday night are on open sale priced from just £18 Adults, £12 Seniors/18-21 year-olds, and from £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
