Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are pleased to have confirmed an arrangement to host a prestigious awards ceremony at Ewood Park.

The club's charitable arm have recently become members of the Blackburn with Darwen Sports Council for the first time in the voluntary organisation's 51-year history, and are making up for lost time by staging their annual awards night in the Legends' Lounge on Friday 5th May at 7.30pm.
The Blackburn with Darwen Sports Council Awards, which have been an annual feature since 1969, showcase the borough's finest sporting achievers, both for on-field and off-field contributions among individuals, teams or groups.
If you know somebody within Blackburn with Darwen who has made a notable contribution to sport in our town within the past 12 months, make sure you nominate them via the online form which is accessible until midday on Friday 31st March 2017.
Award categories at this year's event include:
  • Team of the Year
  • School of the Year for Sport (both primary and secondary)
  • Community Club of the Year
  • Young Volunteer and Adult Volunteer of the Year
  • Official of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Young Achiever of the Year (Under-21)
  • Services to Disability Sport
  • Junior and Senior Sports Personality
  • Lifetime Achievement
  • Exceptional Volunteers for Lynn Hindle/Special Recognition Awards
All nominees should either live within the Blackburn with Darwen borough, or be part of a school, college, club or team that is based within Blackburn with Darwen.
We look forward to welcoming the great and good of local sport to Ewood Park on 5th May, with all of the night's big winners heading on to represent the borough at the Lancashire Sports Awards, which take place later in the year.
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust also have a stake in that major awards night, having committed to sponsoring all the Blackburn with Darwen nominees at the event for the second year in a row.
