With five games over the next fortnight, boss Tony Mowbray expects to fully utilise his playing squad.

After this weekend's match against Wigan Athletic, Rovers then face Cardiff at Ewood on Tuesday. Long trips to Norwich and Fulham are followed by another local derby against Preston.

With the games coming thick and fast, Mowbray is hoping to build some momentum in terms of results, but knows it won't be easy.

"Because of a game every three days, and for the next few weeks as well, we are going to have to utilise the whole squad," said the Rovers boss.

"I'm pretty sure we are going to pick up some fatigue injuries along the way, so we need everybody to be ready and everybody to be hungry.

"If we can find some momentum, if we can get another result at the weekend then the bottom half of the league really starts to look pretty open and we have to try and get into the mix amongst everybody else where one result doesn't become crucial because everybody isn't going to win around us.

"That is the aim, try and get three points in the next football match, we've got two home games coming up and we are going to try and take maximum points.

"If we can make it nine points from our three home games then it will be a fantastic achievement for the group."
