Jason Steele has called on everyone to show the same resilience and support for the final eight matches of the season.

After seven games in the space of three weeks, Rovers have a well-earned break this weekend due to the international matches taking place, and Steele has stressed the importance of sticking together - both on and off the pitch - for the remaining weeks of the season.

The club return to action on April 1st with a tough away trip to promotion-chasing Brighton, followed by a Madejski match-up against Reading. Games the Rovers number one knows are hugely important in their bid for Championship survival.

"These last eight games are massive, the fans have been terrific over the last few weeks and we've got to stick together," Steele told Radio Rovers.

"We've got three big home games left, massive games for us, and we know the next two games are going to be tough, but we've shown this season that we can go away and get some good results at the likes of Newcastle and Derby so you can't write us off just yet.

"We haven't lost for seven games, and alright we've drawn too many, but to not lose in seven games is good characteristic to have. You can lose, you can draw, but we need to start winning.

"We are showing signs of being a really good team at times, but it is difficult to know that you are in the bottom three when we are performing the way we are.

"But at the same time we have got to win games and we have got to start winning quickly.

"It is hard to take but it is football, we haven't been good enough for three-quarters of the season, and whilst we have been good the last seven games, we need to start winning rather than drawing."

Tickets for the match at the American Express Community Stadium against Brighton are currently on open sale priced at £30 for Adults, £22 for Seniors 65+ and Under-21s, £15 for Under-18s and £8 for Under-10s.
