Derby will be a difficult game

Rovers Ladies defender Ellie Cook can't wait for Sunday's match against Derby County.

The Ladies can clinch the FA Women's Premier League north title with a point against the Rams, but Cook insist they'll have to be at the top of their game to succeed.

Rovers have yet to face Derby this season, but with the two sides facing each other twice in the space of a fortnight, the defender knows it won't be easy against a side who put five past AFC Fylde last week.

"It will be a difficult game as we have not played them yet," said Cook. "But we've to play them home and away in the space of a fortnight.

"We don't know much about them, so we have to take it as it comes and if we perform like we did against last Sunday, then I think should be fine against them."

Without a league game last weekend, the Ladies played a friendly against Super League side Sheffield FC, earning a creditable 1-1 draw to put them in good heart for this weekend's big match.

Rovers fans can see Sunday's match at the Tom Finney Stadium, Bamber Bridge for free on production of their season ticket cards. General admission prices for the 2.00pm kick off are £3 Adults, £1 Concessions.

Fans unable to get to the game can follow live updates on Twitter @RoversLadies.
