Country call for Corry

10 March 2017

Corry Evans has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifier against Norway at the end of the month.

The midfielder has been included in Michael O'Neill's 24-man squad for the match at Windsor Park, Belfast, on Sunday 26th March.

Evans hasn't played for Rovers since the victory over Newcastle United on January 2nd due to a groin injury, but he has returned to full training and is expected to get some game time this Monday night for the development squad.

After the first four rounds of qualifiers Northern Ireland sit in second place in Group C, five points behind unbeaten leaders Germany, but ahead of Azerbaijan on goal difference.
