It has been a busy few days for Craig Conway but to grab a goal and help earn a point at Fulham made sure they were memorable.
The Scot missed Saturday's draw at Norwich after becoming a father for the second time, but returned to the starting line-up and to the scoresheet as Rovers rallied to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage.
"It has topped off a really good week for me personally," said the winger.
"Again the lads have shown some character and we've got another really good point at a tough place, so it has been a brilliant week."
Conway converted a 79th minute, but he felt he should have had one earlier when he went down in the box under the challenge of Ryan Fredericks. But whilst Fulham regained the lead with only four minutes to go, Rovers showed tremendous spirit to grab a richly-deserved injury-time equaliser from Lucas Joao.
He added: "I felt it was a penalty, I wouldn't have gone down there, I felt contact on my back and I couldn't stay up. I think for the ref the angle that he was looking at was hard, but I felt it was a penalty. So you've just got to get on with it and luckily we got another one and I put it away.
"That is a couple of times now where we've scored really late on and it shows the character of the squad. We are on a good run, we are unbeaten and we don't want to let that slip and it shows.
"The scenes at the end were brilliant, jumping about and the fans going crazy, it was a brilliant turnout from them."
Rovers and Conway are back in action this Saturday when Preston North End are the visitors to Ewood Park.
