Increased security measures will be in place for Saturday’s Elton John concert at Ewood Park.
Following consultation between Blackburn Rovers, the tour promoters and the relevant authorities, there will be enhanced security at the concert in light of the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London.
Public safety remains our highest priority and, together with local and national authorities, we are reviewing our own security measures on a regular basis.
As a result, when Elton John performs at Ewood Park on Saturday, there will be more overt security in evidence, including a visible armed police and security personnel presence.
Additionally, large bags and hampers will not be allowed into the stadium and there will be increased screening checks and searches for those attending the concert. For a full prohibited items list, please click here.
Fans are respectfully advised to arrive as early as possible, to speed up the process of entering the venue, as these extra security checks to help ensure everybody’s safety are expected to lengthen queueing times.
These security and surveillance measures have been put in place to protect our customers, visitors and staff and to ensure fans have the safest, most enjoyable concert experience when visiting the stadium.
We ask for your full cooperation and apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused.
