Fixtures for the 2017-18 Premier League 2, Division 2, season have now been confirmed.
The format of the Under-23s competition remains unchanged from previous seasons, with two divisions comprising 12 teams, with each playing 22 fixtures throughout the season.
Damien Johnson’s side get their campaign underway at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday August 14th, kick-off 7pm.
The season opener is one of three home games which will take place at Ewood Park, in accordance with competition rules. The remaining eight home games will once again be played at The County Ground in Leyland, home of the Lancashire FA.
The three scheduled Ewood Park fixtures are as follows:
- Rovers v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Monday 14th August 2017
- Rovers v Middlesbrough
Monday 11th September 2017
- Rovers v Aston Villa
Monday 16th April 2018
The club are still awaiting confirmation from Stoke City as to the venue for their home game against Rovers, which will be played on Saturday March 3rd, kick-off 2pm.

The club can also confirm that we will be participating in the Premier League Cup, which will once again see 32 clubs competing in eight groups of four, with teams playing each other on a home and away basis.
As a Category 1 Academy club, Rovers will receive automatic entry into the Group Stage of the competition. Further details regarding our Premier League Cup matches will be announced in due course.
