Dominic Samuel admits the chance to work with Tony Mowbray once more was too good an opportunity to turn down.
Rovers' latest signing spent a productive spell under the manager whilst on loan at Coventry City during the second half of the 2014-15 season, scoring six goals in 12 league starts to help secure their League One status.
The striker believes he played some of his best football under Mowbray during his time with the Sky Blues, and is eager to recreate that form at his new club.
I played my best football under him, and now I can continue playing my best football under him with Blackburn.
"I worked with the gaffer a few years ago and I bonded with him really well, so I thought it was the right move for me," said the 23 year-old.
"It was a few years ago that I was at Coventry, and as soon as he came in he pulled me to one side and mentioned that he was going to make me a better player.
"He did, and I played my best football under him, and now I can continue playing my best football under him with Blackburn.
"I felt more confident after that loan spell, and I feel even more confident now that I'm working with the gaffer again."
