Blackburn Rovers Community Trust have confirmed a real coup for their BTEC in Sport squads with the news that they'll be playing all of their matches in 2017/18 on the superb 4G pitch at the club's Senior Training Centre.

Those enrolling for the charity's BTEC education programme that starts in September will be able to play their fixtures against other professional clubs' education programme representative sides on the same site as the club's first team training venue at Brockhall.

It opens up the possibility that you may find a famous name or two casting an eye over your matches if you sign up for the new intake this autumn!

The programme mixes a quality education with daily training sessions and regular representative matches in football or futsal.

Both playing elements are hosted at prestigious venues, thanks to the new home for the football fixtures and the futsal fixtures being predominantly hosted at the specialist facilities at the Trafford Powerleague Centre in Greater Manchester.

The opportunity is open to both male and female players, with a full course introduction available via the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust website.

Chris McGrail, head of BTEC and NCS at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, can't wait to take his teams to their new home venue. He explained:

"We are very thankful to the club for agreeing to make this opportunity happen. It's a fantastic facility and I'm sure it will raise our standards to allow players to compete at such an aspirational venue.

"This course is all about creating opportunities, and what better opportunity than to say that you train on a daily basis for the chance to prove yourself in matches at one of the top football training facilities in the country?

"However, we can't make this move without paying tribute to Mill Hill St Peter's FC, who have hosted our football fixtures over the past season. Without their help, we wouldn't have had anywhere near as enjoyable a season.

"It's an excellent club with top facilities and pleasant people, so we hope that we'll be able to find ways to continue working with them in the years to come."

Don't miss your chance to enrol for 2017/18 and play football at a fantastic venue all season. If you've just left high school, it's the perfect time to enrol - contact Chris McGrail via 01254 508256 or email to find out more.
