A good week's work

16 July 2017

Tony Mowbray has been happy with the squad's work during the week in Austria.

After six days training on the continent, the players head back to the UK this Sunday with the boss satisfied with the work they have got through.

"The group have worked hard, we've generally kept away from any serious injuries," said Mowbray.

"We've had a few little strains and a bit of tightness, but generally they have all trained and worked extremely hard.

"It is good that they spend 24 hours a day together rather than finishing training at 2pm and heading home and seeing each other the next morning. It is good that they can socialise together, have a coffee in the evening, chat about football.

"I think they are a good bunch of lads, an honest bunch of lads who are working extremely hard."

Rovers are back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Bootham Crescent to take on York City.

Fans can pay on the night with admission prices of £8 Adults, £4 Concessions (Over 65’s and Under 21’s), Under-5s free. Kick-off is 7.30pm.
