Rovers could welcome back a trio of players for Saturday's game against Birmingham City.

Manager Owen Coyle revealed on Thursday that Craig Conway, Anthony Stokes and Danny Guthrie have trained all week and will come into contention for the Ewood Park clash.

But Saturday's match could come too soon for Corry Evans.

"Craig Conway has managed to train for the most part this week and it looks like he'll be available for Saturday along with Danny Guthrie and Anthony Stokes which is good news and a boost," the boss told Rovers PlayerHD.

"Corry Evans has joined in today, but didn't manage the full session, so that is one that we'll have to look at.

"He is getting better from what he was, but Saturday might come too soon for him. We'll evaluate that over the next couple of days."

One player who won't be involved on Saturday is Ben Marshall as the manager doesn't want the current transfer speculation surrounding the player to affect his performances.

"Ben Marshall will be missing this weekend," added Coyle. "I've told him he won't feature in the game. I have a good honest discussion with him and I've explained that we as a club are not prepared to go through what we had with the Shane Duffy scenario with respect of clubs being interested and players subconsciously being affected by it.

"I need a group that are committed and totally focussed on beating Birmingham. So he won't play on Saturday and we'll review it on a weekly basis."
