Owen Coyle knows that Rovers have to show the same determination and discipline as displayed New Years Eve if they are to get anything from this afternoon's match against Newcastle United.
Rovers have held the Terriers to two 1-1 draws in recent weeks, but on this Bank Holiday Monday come up against a Magpies side riding high at the top of the Sky Bet Championship.
However Rovers did come away with a surprise 1-0 victory over Rafa Benitez's side at the end of November, and after the weekend point against Huddersfield, the manager believes it can give the Blues hope going into the Ewood Park clash.
"I think there is a lot that we can build on moving into a big game against Newcastle," said the Rovers boss.
"Let's hope it is the same omen, a point against Huddersfield and three against Newcastle.
"I think if we can show the same discipline as we did against Huddersfield and know that there is a goal threat there then there is no reason why we can't got and get the same result.
"We are back at home, back at Ewood and we want to start rewarding the fans with wins to get ourselves moving and I think performances like the one on Saturday will help us do that.
"Newcastle have a first team squad of 30 players and have had the luxury of spending millions on their team. We don't have that, we've young kids on our bench with people missing.
"But we have shown that the group is giving everything to go and win at difficult places and that will help us as we get into the second half of the season."
