A thrilling final and a last minute goal helped The Redeemer to pip Helmshore Primary School in the final of our second Kinder +Sport Kids Cup qualifying heat.
The most local entrant to this year's competition - situated just up the hill from Ewood Park - ensured that they will be part of next week's six-team finals day at the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre after holding their nerve in a hugely competitive final.
Another eight teams took part in a frenzied day of football fun, with other teams attending also representing Balderstone St Leonard's Primary School, Chorley St Laurence Primary School, Griffin Park Primary School and Wensley Fold Primary School - the latter pair bringing two teams apiece.
With four days still to play, there are still around 30 schools in contention for the chance to represent Blackburn Rovers in the national knockout stages of the competition; matches taking place every day this week.
