Sam Gallagher hopes to see the supporters show the same sort of backing as the team received the last time Rovers were at home.

After two matches on the road, Rovers are back on home soil this afternoon when Birmingham City are the visitors Ewood Park.

It is almost three weeks since Rovers defeated then league leaders Newcastle United in front of the blue and white faithful, and the on-loan striker would love to see the same atmosphere generated to allow them to claim another successful result.

"That is the kind of atmosphere that we need and it is the type of atmosphere we've been getting with the big home games that have been coming up," the 21-year-old told Rovers PlayerHD.

"So we definitely need the fans with us again. It makes a massive difference to any team when you have the fans behind you and you are playing at Ewood.

"So it definitely makes a big difference so we'll be looking to get good support over the next few weeks."

The striker also hopes Rovers can take advantage of today's opponent's current woes as Birmingham arrive at Ewood Park with just one win from their last ten outings.

"They've not been on a great run lately," he added. "I don't think they have won in their last seven games.

"So it is definitely a game that we are going in looking to win. We are feeling confident."

Tickets for this afternoon's match against Birmingham City are on open sale up until the 3pm kick-off. They are priced from just £18 Adults, £12 Seniors/18-21 year-olds and from £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
