Team news from Ewood Park as Rovers take on Birmingham City...

Rovers have made one change from the side that faced Ipswich Town last week.

Gordon Greer returns to the starting XI and that means a reshuffle amongst the defensive and midfield ranks as Ben Marshall drops out.

Captain Jason Lowe is expected to play at right back, with Greer alongside Lenihan at the heart of the Rovers defence. Charlie Mulgrew the likely man to partner Hope Akpan in midfield.

The substitute's bench sees a welcome return for Craig Conway, Danny Guthrie and Anthony Stokes.

ROVERS: Steele, Lowe (c), Lenihan, Greer, Williams, Feeney, Akpan, Mulgrew, Bennett, Gallagher, Graham.

Subs: Raya (GK), Stokes, Guthrie, Nyambe, Mahoney, Brown, Conway.

BIRMINGHAM: Kuszczak, Grounds, Shotton, Gleeson, Cotterill, Gardner, Adams, Jutkiewicz,  Dacres-Cogley, Davis, Morrison (c).

Subs: Legzdins (GK), Nsue, Robinson, Kieftenbeld, Tesche, Solomon-Otabor, Frei.
