Rising star Ryan Nyambe discovered that there's some serious female football talent in Blackburn as he went to see the great skills on show at Our Lady and St John Catholic College.
In a special appearance on behalf of Blackburn Rovers Community Trust’s Premier League Girls’ Football programme at the Shadsworth high school, the emerging full-back added to his reputation by showing the girls how it’s done when he volunteered to step into the action alongside the school's most promising players.
He was involved in the seven-a-side action at both ends of the pitch, making some fine saves during a cameo stint in goal, before displaying his outfield trickery with some step-overs, mazy dribbles and a fine solo goal to cap it all off!
Speaking to the Blue & White matchday programme ahead of a starring feature in the forthcoming Blackpool edition, he admitted that the event was very enjoyable.
"It reminded me back when I was young and I started playing football," said Nyambe. "I really enjoyed it at the time and to see these kids enjoy it really means a lot."
"Blackburn Rovers ladies team are doing well at the moment, they haven’t lost in a while and they are in really good form, so maybe one day some of these girls will go on to play for them."
