Two of Rovers' promising youngsters have penned new deals with the club.
Jack Doyle and Connor Thomson have both agreed new contracts to extend their stay at Ewood Park until the summer of 2019.
Defender Doyle has been with Rovers since the age of 10, progressing through the club's youth ranks to the fringes of the first team. Although yet to make a senior appearance, Doyle was on the bench for the Championship game against Burton Albion and the EFL Cup tie against Crewe earlier this season.
Thomson has proved his versatility since joining Rovers from League Two side Carlisle United following a successful trial in December 2014. A regular for the development squad, the 20-year-old has played at full-back, midfield and further forward, and will hope to continue to impress in Damien Johnson's squad for the remainder of the season.
