Owen Coyle hopes the club's promising youngsters will be all the better for the experience of being involved in Saturday's Emirates FA Cup victory over Queens Park Rangers.
The 18-man squad for the third round match in the capital featured no less than six academy graduates as Jason Lowe captained the side and David Raya started in goal. The bench included Ryan Nyambe and Connor Mahoney along with Willem Tomlinson and Lewis Travis who have yet to make their senior debuts.
And whilst Nyambe was introduced in the latter stages of the match, the Rovers manager believes it won't be too long before the others get their opportunity.
"I had a host of young lads on the bench ready to use and of course Ryan Nyambe came in again," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.
"There was Connor Mahoney, Willem Tomlinson and Lewis Travis with us so we have young players coming through the club which Blackburn Rovers will always be known for.
"Had there been a bigger margin in the game then it would have been easier to bring those kids on. They will all get their chance in due course and it is important for the club.
"It was great to have those young players involved, it will be a great experience for them, and they will certainly benefit from that moving forward."
Fans have the chance to see the next batch of Rovers youngsters are in FA Youth Cup action at Ewood Park this Wednesday night when they take on Aston Villa.
Come on cheer on the lads, admission prices are just £4 for Adults and £2 Concessions. Season tickets are not valid for this competition.
The Jack Walker Lower Tier will be open, kick-off is at 7.00pm.
