Sam Gallagher has revealed that he is enjoying the goalscoring competition between himself and Danny Graham.

Last week's goal for Graham at Ipswich took his tally for the season into double figures with ten goals, and with Gallagher just one goal behind, the youngster is eager to overhaul Graham once more.

"We've had a bit of a competition between us," Gallagher told Rovers PlayerHD.

"He's been catching me up for a while and he's overtaken me now so it is time for me to put a bit of pressure on him.

"It is healthy to have competition like that. It is one thing we take into most games, especially when we were both on nine for a while, it was who going to pip the other one. So I'll look to catch him this weekend.

"With the system we play with two strikers, we both have got the chance and we are both hungry to get goals and it has obviously shown as nine and ten isn't a bad partnership to be fair.

"So we are going to look to push on, hopefully I can catch him."

Can Gallagher reach double figures this afternoon against Birmingham City? See today's match at Ewood from just £18 Adults, £12 Seniors/18-21 year-olds and from £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under. Tickets will be on sale up to the 3.00pm kick-off.
