Feniscowles Primary School secured the third finals day place in the Kinder +Sport Kids Cup finals day as our qualifying heats reached the halfway stage.
Under the watchful eye of goalkeeper David Raya, the superb standard of football at the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre was illustrated by the tight contest they enjoyed in the final against Yarlside Academy, who traveled all the way from Barrow-in-Furness to take part.
There was also quality in abundance in the semi finals, with Euxton Balshaw Lane and The Redeemer - entering a second team in as many days - both looking like quality sides, with other teams representing Knuzden St Oswald's C of E Primary School and Manor Road Primary School also taking part in the eight-team tournament.
In addition to all the on field fun, each team had their chance to have their photo taken with the Premier League trophy and Rovers keeper Raya, who met every player taking part in the tournament to wish them all.
With three heats remaining, Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are excited to see the talent on show throughout the remainder of the competition, which sees one lucky school getting the chance to represent the club in a national tournament culminating in a final at Wembley.
