Owen Coyle was pleased to see Liam Feeney cap his recent fine displays with a goal to help Rovers progress through to the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Rovers winger grabbed the all-important second goal as they defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-1 at Loftus Road on Saturday.
A ball down the wing from Ben Marshall was seized upon by Sam Gallagher and although the striker's shot was saved, Feeney was on hand to tap home the rebound to delight the travelling support.
"It was great to see him get on the end of that," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.
"He has earned it because his performances have been of a very high standard so it is nice that he gets his just rewards for that.
"I've always said that at the top end of the pitch you want players who can influence games by having assists or scoring goals and that is what he has been doing."
Rovers will learn of their fourth round opponents this Monday evening. They'll be ball number 6 for tonight's draw that takes place at approximately 19:10 on BT Sport 2 and BBC Two.
