February half-term fun for children at Ewood

19 January 2017

The biggest football and activity camp in our calendar is coming back to Ewood Park this February - book your child's place now to avoid disappointment!

Every February half-term, Blackburn Rovers Community Trust record their highest participation numbers of the year for both the Soccer and Sports Camp in the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre and the Activity Camp in the Darwen End.

This year is likely to be no exception when both events resume from Monday 13th to Friday 17th February, sticking with the same convenient timings and attractive prices that have served parents and primary school age children alike so well for several years running.

Parents can drop their children off from 8.30am daily for a 9am start on both camps, with the day's activities ending at 4.30pm. Priced at just £12 per day or £49 for the full week - effectively giving you the final day for just £1 - so you'll be hard pressed to find a childcare option offering anywhere near as much for so little in this area.

The Soccer and Sports Camp is largely self-explanatory, with a mix of skill drills and matches primarily based around football, but with an occasional breakout into other relevant sports, such as handball, dodgeball or even a football/cricket hybrid!

Participants will receive a certificate to commemorate their attendance throughout the week, and there are occasional spot prizes and giveaways too. Last February, it proved so popular that the 'sold out' sign went up on a number of days.

The Activity Camp appeals to creative minds, with arts and crafts, music, drama and much more on the agenda in a smaller and more intimate group.

Both camps, which are open to children aged five to 11, also offer the potential to meet either first team players from the Rovers squad or cuddly mascot Rover The Dog (subject to availability).

Book as many or as few days as you want - including the possibility of mixing and matching between the two camps on different days - by calling the Community Trust on 01254 508256.

Alternatively, head to www.brfctrust.co.uk where further background can be found, including terms and conditions for each event and a downloadable application form. You can also read more via our promotional flyer here.
