Evans to be assessed

Rovers will give a late check on Corry Evans before deciding whether he will be fit to face Newcastle United on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Northern Ireland international limped out of Saturday's 1-1 away draw at Huddersfield Town after sustaining a reoccurrence of the groin injury that has troubled him all season.

But whilst Evans is a doubt for the match against the Magpies, Rovers do have one player back and available as Jason Lowe has now served his two-match suspension.

"Corry felt great coming into the game and he was playing very well, but I think he got caught in a tackle and probably stretched it so we'll look at that and take it from there," said the manager Owen Coyle.

"We do have Jason Lowe back available after missing two games through suspension, and we'll check on Ben Marshall.

"So hopefully we could have one or two back but if not then the group has shown that they can go and win games at difficult places and that will help us in the second half of the season."

Tickets for Monday's match are on sale to Rovers supporters with a database history of purchasing tickets from the club and are priced from £26 for Adults, from £19 Concessions and from £12 for Juniors aged under 18.

Book online today at and collect from the Roverstore collection point ahead of the 3pm kick-off.
