Balladen Community Primary School are the latest team to successfully reach Blackburn Rovers Community Trust's grand finals day in the Kinder +Sport Kids Cup.
The club's charitable arm are four heats into a six contest process to try and find a primary school team with the talent to represent the club in the EFL Trust competition, which ultimately concludes with a final at Wembley for the team that beats all the other Championship clubs' representatives.
The biggest test that the Rawtenstall-based winners faced in their quest to make it through to the final six was a hard fought final against Avondale Primary School from Darwen, on an afternoon that was well attended once again.
Eight teams representing Brookhouse, Coupe Green, Leyland St Mary's and Meadowhead also took part, with the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre full of noise and excitement throughout the day.
With just two heats to go, all eyes are now turning towards the remaining 16 teams who are hoping to be heading back for next Thursday's finals day.
