Rovers' medical staff will assess the injury picked up by Hope Akpan in yesterday's Emirates FA Cup win over Blackpool.

The club are yet to discover the extent of the injury, but hope to learn more this Sunday.

"Everybody saw the challenge, their boy has come in from a long way out," boss Owen Coyle told Radio Rovers.

"We hope that it isn't too serious, as usually we'll have to assess it.

"In the aftermath you don't really get a clear picture, it will have to settle down for a day, so we'll assess that on Sunday and see where we go because we've got two big home games coming up in Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers and obviously you want all your players available."

Another player who will be assessed ahead of Wednesday night's match against Leeds United is Liam Feeney.

The Rovers winger missed Saturday's victory after sustaining a broken nose in training.

Tickets for the midweek match against Leeds United are currently on open sale priced from £22 for Adults, £14 for Seniors and 18-21 year-olds, £9 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
