A fantastic team performance

9 January 2017

Elliott Bennett was delighted to return to the starting eleven and play his part in Saturday's 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers.

The Rovers midfielder made an immediate impact at Loftus Road, laying on the key pass for the opening goal after just eight minutes.

Bennett felt the result was fully deserved and would now like to face one of the big guns in the fourth round.

"It was fantastic to play and more importantly we got the win," said Bennett.

"We got off to a good start and I thought we were in control of the game really, they didn't have too many chances to score. They might have had a bit more possession but it was in areas that weren't really hurting us.

"It was a fantastic team performance, it wasn't a classic but we are into the next round which is the most important thing.

"Manchester United away would be nice, it is a good one to go to Old Trafford, but it is a magical cup and we'll put all our efforts into winning that game as well."

Rovers will be ball number 6 in this Monday night's draw. It will take place at approximately 19:10 on BT Sport 2 and BBC Two.
