Wes Brown believes the pressure will be off Rovers when they take on Manchester United in Sunday's Emirates FA Cup tie.
The former United stalwart knows that his current side will be underdogs when they go head-to-head in the fifth round clash at Ewood Park tomorrow (4.15pm), but insists that they can use that as a positive.
Rovers will play in front of the largest home crowd this season and Brown feels that can inspire the players to perform on the big stage and pull off a cup shock.
"It is good for us as there won't be any pressure on us, we can go out and enjoy it and from that you never know with the cup," said the defender.
"We've got to be positive and enjoy the game and take it to them a little bit.
"I reckon they'll have a few changes but they'll still have quality players that will want to show what they can do. They won't take their foot off the gas.
"For us, we are at home and I'm sure there'll be more there for this game than in previous games so I think that will help us. It'll be nice for the lads to play in front of a big crowd and hopefully we can draw inspiration from that.
"Everyone needs to enjoy this weekend because anything can happen. The big stuff starts next week."
The former England international is expected to be on the bench for Sunday's clash, but with a threadbare squad due to injury and suspension that could give further opportunities for Ryan Nyambe and Connor Mahoney.
Brown has seen the pair at close quarters when turning out for the development squad this season and believes there is plenty of promise to come from the pair of them.
"I've played with a lot of them for the ressies and they've been outstanding," he added.
"They've done really well to get to this stage now, Connor was brilliant the other day and Ryan is as strong as an ox, he does really well.
"They are only just starting out in the game and they are going to be really good players when they get older. To talk to them, they are excited, it is one of those games that you have to be excited about."
