Owen Coyle felt the substitutes all played their part in helping Rovers to a point against Rotherham United on Saturday.
Trailing 1-0 and under pressure at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, the Rovers boss made three changes in quick succession just past the hour mark in a bid to get back into the game.
Hope Akpan, Connor Mahoney and Marvin Emnes were all introduced to good effect as Rovers drew level thanks to an 86th minute own goal and almost won it at the death when Mahoney crossed to Emnes but his header went just the wrong side of the post.
"We made the changes and I thought all three substitutions did very well," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.
"I thought Hope Akpan was instrumental in the midfield driving on. Young Connor, we've gradually been building him up over the course of the season and he's champing at the bit, he did very well.
"And Emnes, we know the quality that he has, and he probably could have won it for us at the end.
"So I thought the changes worked really well, they were really positive for us."
Rovers return to south Yorkshire this Tuesday night when they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
