Rovers' development squad will secure a place in the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup this Monday night if they can avoid defeat at home to Cardiff City.
Damien Johnson's side currently sit second in their group, and need just a point to join Sunderland in the last 16 of the competition.
Rovers have two wins, a draw and a defeat from their four games played so far. When they met the Bluebirds back in December in Cardiff the two sides played out a goalless draw.
The Under-23s go into tonight's game at the County Ground, Leyland in fine form having won their last five league and cup matches. They could also be bolstered by the inclusion of first team defenders Tommie Hoban and Elliott Ward who are on the road to recovery following long-term injuries.
Kick-off at Leyland is at 7pm. Season ticket holders can see the match for free on production of their season ticket cards. General admission prices are £3 Adults, £1 Concessions.
