Hope Akpan could return to the squad for Saturday's match against Queens Park Rangers.
The Rovers midfielder missed the midweek clash with Leeds United after sustaining an ankle injury in the FA Cup win over Blackpool the prior weekend.
However should he show no reaction in training today then he could make the 18.
Boss Owen Coyle will check on the fitness of others as there are the usual bumps and bruises to be assessed as Rovers prepare to play their third match in seven days at Ewood Park.
"Given the high intensity of the game the other night, there is no doubt there are a few bumps and bruises from that," the manager told Rovers PlayerHD. "So we'll have to look at that to make sure the players are available for selection.
"Hope Akpan will train today (Friday) so he has an opportunity to come back into the group. But aside from that I think that is really it.
"The long-term ones - Elliott Ward, Adam Henley and Tommie Hoban - are still missing, whilst Corry Evans is also still out.
"So we'll look to see who we've got and make sure that we are fresh and ready to go and win a vital home game."
