Jason Lowe believes the pressure will be on Manchester United when the two sides meet in the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.
Rovers come up against the Premier League side at Ewood Park in the 4.15pm kick-off looking to add their name to the many sides that have caused an upset in this season's competition.
The Rovers captain, who has been with the club since the age of 12, knows it will be a tough ask to get the better of a United side that are in fine form, but firmly believes that they are more than capable of overcoming the odds.
"The pressure is off us really, we are underdogs in the game," said Lowe. "So it means there is everything to gain for us.
"It will be good to get out there and test ourselves against some top, top players and hopefully we can get a positive result.
"From a player's point of view it is exciting, probably just as much as the fans. When the draw comes out you want one of the big clubs at home.
"So it will be a great test for us and one that all of the lads are looking forward to.
"They are a well-drilled outfit and we are going to have to be on our mettle. If they are on an off day and we are at our best then anything can happen. We just need to make sure that we do what we can control and see how it goes.
"We just need to focus on what have to do and hopefully if we play as well as we can and give a good account of ourselves then who knows on the day.
"It is a great opportunity to build some confidence around the place again. We've got a fantastic team spirit and a group as tight-knit as I've been involved in.
"Hopefully we can bring that and give a good account of ourselves and maybe anything can happen on the day."
