It would be a great honour

Craig Conway will reach a personal milestone for Rovers if he starts against Burton Albion on Friday night.

For if the Scot is named in Tony Mowbray's first team line-up it will be his 100th league start for the club.

But whilst he'd be delighted to make it a century of Rovers starts, Conway knows that it is more important that they collect three points against the Brewers.

"I wasn't aware of that stat until recently, so hopefully I can start on Friday," Conway told Rovers PlayerHD.

"To make 100 starts would be a great honour, it is just over three years that I've been here and I've enjoyed every minute of it.

"But the most important thing is on the pitch and we want to go out on Friday and get the three points, that is what we have to do.

"There was a lot of positives in the performance to come out of the game at the weekend, so that is what we are hoping to take into the game against Burton.

"It will be a really tough game but at the end of the day it is serious business and the three points is the most important thing."

Fans are reminded that there are no sales at the Pirelli Stadium this Friday, so advanced purchase is required.

Tickets go off sale at Ewood at 2pm on Friday. With standing and seating available, prices are from £20 Adults, £18 Seniors, £15 17-22 year-olds and £7 for Under 17s.

Call the ticket office on 01254 372000 for further information.

Supporters travelling to the Pirelli Stadium by car from the south of Burton should note that there are long-term roadworks at the Branston Junction on the A38. Fans are advised to follow the northbound diversion route.
