Boss Owen Coyle paid tribute to the contribution made by substitutes Connor Mahoney and Willem Tomlinson in Sunday's FA Cup.
The Rovers manager was delighted with the way the Academy pair performed as second half substitutes as they impressed against Manchester United.
Speaking to Radio Rovers after the match at Ewood, Coyle said:
"They've paid us a huge compliment when they had to bring on Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Mata, whilst I'm bringing Connor Mahoney and Willem Tomlinson from our Academy into the game.
"I would hope that they feel the belief and the trust that we have in them and that is why we brought them in.
"We didn't bring them in on a whim or as a little thank you, we brought them in because we believe they've got the quality to play.
"Mahoney started during the week so I felt I just wanted to freshen him up again so he'd have an impact coming on. Then Tomlinson has been getting closer to playing and I felt Danny Guthrie had done well but had probably run his race.
"So Willem stepped in and he really showed a great composure and he can tackle as well, he can put his foot in and is a good passer of the ball.
"He'll have a chance and, like Connor, if he keeps listening and learning he can have a good career at Blackburn Rovers."
