Rovers duo Matty Platt and Connor Thomson have joined Vanarama National League side Barrow on loan.
The development squad regulars will get the opportunity to gain valuable first team experience, linking up with the Cumbrian side until 29th April.
A product of the Rovers Academy, Platt has progressed quickly through the ranks at the club.
A strong, commanding central defender, this season has seen him captain the Under-23s and has three goals from 23 outings including a recent brace against Burnley in the Premier League Cup.
Thomson, who penned a new two-and-a-half year deal last month, has proved to be a versatile addition since joining from Carlisle United following a successful trial in December 2014.
The 21-year-old can play at full-back, through the middle or out wide, and has been in fine form in helping the development squad recored four consecutive league and cup victories.
The pair have been signed in time to play for the Bluebirds in their league match at Macclesfield this Wednesday night.
