Rovers have Elliott Bennett available once again for tomorrow night's Ewood Park encounter with Derby County.
The versatile midfielder has served his two-match suspension following his sending off in the away match against Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago.
Boss Tony Mowbray believes Bennett's inclusion will be the only change to the squad for the game against the Rams. Gordon Greer still sidelined with a calf injury, whilst Tommie Hoban and Elliott Ward are both expected to feature for the development squad this Monday night.
"Elliott Bennett is now available," Mowbray told Rovers PlayerHD. "He hasn’t missed much from what I can see. He looks sharp on the pitch and we'll look to include him somewhere in the equation.
"Tommie Hoban and Elliott Ward are going to partake in the fixture tonight against Cardiff to give them their first big, competitive game in a while.
"It’s getting to the point where competition for places is going to be huge. Hopefully, in a week or two there will be a lot more options and we’ll try to pick the right team for the right game as they are coming along every three days.
"We’ll have to utilise the squad and from what I’ve seen there are some pretty good choices that are not actually on the pitch but are ready to come back.
"Corry Evans joined in training yesterday. I have to say I like Corry Evans on the ball at the training ground. He looks very tidy, technical and crisp. He knows what to do with the ball and he gives us great options for the team moving forward."
Tickets for Tony Mowbray's first home game in charge are on open sale priced from £18 Adults, £12 Seniors/18-21 year-olds, and from £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
